Electronic Toolbox is proud to announce the addition to their line of High Voltage Hand Tools from ITL. What makes ITL's High Voltage Tools different from other manufacturers?
With the use of Nylon 11, a unique feature to ITL Linesman tools, it surpasses the durability and temperature requirements of PVC. It is a much harder wearing material and will withstand the rigors of being in the filed much longer than the PVC coatings that are a standard in the industry. It gives the operator more cost effective tools and provides the essential protection required of High Voltage Tools for a longer period of time.
Typically tools have to be able to withstand impact at temperatures of -20C, but ITL VDE Tools can withstand impact to ...

Many times we are asked what is the difference between a micro cutter and a diagonal cutter, aren't they the same thing?
Well the answer is yes and no. They do perform very similar actions, but diagonal cutters are generally used for cutting and stripping different types of wire with different types of blade styles such as semi flush and full flush. In some instances they may also be referred to as side cutters, again with wire cutting and stripping being the main function.
Micro cutters are designed for more precise work on circuit boards and components that require a smaller style cutting head that is capable of reaching into very small or tight areas. They can certainly be used to cut small gauge wire, but the primary ...

Electronic Toolbox offers an extensive line of technician tools for Electronics, Computers and the Telecom Industry. Lot's of choices in so many tools and sometimes it can just seem overwhelming on which tools will fit the type of work you do.
So today I would like to cover the topic of a question I was just recently asked; Why is their a Butt Set in the EC500-043 and the PK-14019A Telecom Tool Kits and there is no Butt Set in the Deluxe Telecom Tool Kit EC902-242.
Well the answer is actually quite simple if one takes the time to think about it. The EC500-043 and the PK-14019A are Telecom Maintenance Tool Kits, whereas the Deluxe Telecom Tool Kit EC902-242 is considered a Telecom Installation Tool Kit and the ...

With the advent of all these security screws, which is enough to drive technicians nuts, what is the choice Security Bit Sets or Security Screwdrivers?
Security Bit Sets work well when you are working with security screws that are surface mounted, but if the security screws are recessed most security bits will not fit in the access hole.
Security Screwdrivers are also great for surface mounted security screws, but will also give you the flexibility of being able to reach those security screws that are recessed down inside recessed holes.
So which should you choose? Obviously you know best what type of challenges you face with security screws, but if they are something that does not require repetitive use, I always suggest ...

When talking about Heat Shrink Guns, large and bulky may come to mind. They certainly do take up a lot of room in your tool case. Well not anymore!

So the next time you are loading up those tools for another service call, keep this Mini Heat Gun in mind, it weights less than a pound, and won't ...

Remember the days when you could just pull a screwdriver out of your tool box and go at it? I went to change a headlight in my car the other day and discovered that without a security screwdriver it just was not going to happen.
It seems that today's manufacturers want to limit access to anyone who wishes to service their equipment. Everywhere you turn there is another security screw to deal with and there is no standard. There are a multitude of security screws being used.
Electronic Toolbox is happy to announce that we have a large selection of these types of drivers in a variety of configurations and sizes. From security bit sets to security screwdrivers we have what you need to get by these obstacles put in front of us by ...

When we talk about wireless inspection cameras, what comes to my mind first is the inspection camera my plumber just used last week to inspect my sewer line. A versatile tool, but designed for just one reason, to inspect sewer lines.
When NTE first introduced the WIC-1 Inspection camera we were all wowed with the fact that unlike many other inspection cameras it was able to access areas that no one had ever imagined. It was versatile enough to be used not only for plumbing repairs, but for furnace inspections, wiring inspections and even automotive repairs. Offering several types of camera heads and a removable viewing screen, this inspection camera opened up new innovations we just didn't;t have before.
The wow factor didn't stop...
